Introduction
The district was first notified as Turbat on
July Ist,1977. Its name was changed to Kech in 1994-95.The district,has
its headquarters at Turbat which is situated on the left bank of Kech
river.Turbat is also the headquarters of Makran division as well as the
hub of activities of the Makran coastal belt.
Location
District Turbat is located between
25° 24' to 26° 39' north latitudes and between 61° 49' to 64° 31'
east longitudes.
Boundary
It is bounded on the north by Panjgur
district,on the east by Awaran district, on the
South by Gawadar district and on the west by Iran.
Area
The total area of district Turbat
is 22,539 square kilometers.
