Introduction The western half of the district derives its name from its headquarters town sukkar. Location It is situated from 27'-05 to 28'-02 north latitudes and from 68'-47 to 69'43 east longtudes. Boundary The district is bounded on the north by Ghotki and Shikarpur districtsts, on the east byGhotki and Jaisalmir(india) and on the west by Shikarpur and Khairpur districts. Area It covers an area of 5165 square kilometers. Population (According to Census 1998)
